I went to my first WWDC in 2007. Things I loved: having frameworks and tools described in a lecture format, having access to Apple developers, and the fun extracurricular stuff. Also the sense of belonging to the Mac developer community.

It *was* an unquestionable fact that I'd go again this year, but I had some unexpected expenses so I may have to make a hard decision.

I've also heard excellent things about Big Nerd Ranch -- not only the quality of technical training but the overall experience: eating together and meeting people from all walks of life. That is definitely on my Someday list, no matter how proficient in Mac development I become.
