I'm Louie — Director of Engineering, AI Builder, 30+ years in the industry. I lead engineering teams that ship TypeScript products, including production AI features. I also build AI side projects to test what actually works and what's just hype. This site is my personal archive: notes from the long arc of building software, managing teams, learning new platforms, and occasionally remembering that the old posts are still part of the story.

Earlier in my career, I built Android, iOS, and Mac apps; web services in Sinatra and Rails; enterprise Eclipse plug-ins in Java and SWT; and clients and servers in Smalltalk. That mix still shapes how I think: learn the tool, understand the system, and choose the boring-good path when it matters.
